Background

Call for Industry Panel Proposals

Bridging Research, Innovation and Emerging Industry Applications

ICASSP 2026 invites application- and industry-focused panel proposals that explore the rapidly evolving landscape of signal and information processing technologies and their real-world deployment.

As AI-driven systems, massive data analytics, ubiquitous sensing, and intelligent connectivity reshape industries worldwide, ICASSP 2026 seeks panel discussions that bridge academic innovation and industrial transformation. We invite thought leaders to discuss how advances in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, Digital Twins, Robotics, Sustainability, and next-generation communications are driving emerging applications, market disruption, and cross-sector impact.

Scope and Objectives

We welcome proposals that foster cross-disciplinary, industry- and application-relevant conversations between researchers, engineers, and technology leaders. Panels should move beyond traditional research perspectives to emphasize practical challenges, deployment experiences, and commercialization opportunities.

We particularly encourage proposals focusing on:

  • Emerging industrial applications of signal and information processing (e.g., intelligent manufacturing, smart mobility, digital society, and sustainable systems).
  • Translational technologies such as physics-aware neural networks, integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), reconfigurable metasurfaces, and trustworthy AI.
  • Industry perspectives on scalability, robustness, standardization, and ethical or sustainability considerations.
  • Forward-looking discussions on disruptive or underexplored topics, including quantum-enhanced processing or AI-driven signal intelligence.

Panels should encourage dynamic, interactive discussions rather than formal presentations—offering multiple viewpoints, highlighting lessons learned, and inspiring collaboration between academia and industry.

Proposal Guidelines

Proposals are solicited for 60- or 90-minute panels and should allocate at least 15 minutes for audience engagement. Each submission should include:

  1. Panel title
  2. Topics and a brief justification (approximately 300 words)
  3. Organizer contact information (affiliation, email, and phone)
  4. Proposed panelists and their expertise
  5. Short biographies for organizers and panelists

Proposals should be submitted to the Chair: Dr. Pu (Perry) Wang by January 31, 2026, via email  address:  [email protected]
